Susan H. Levin joined the firm in 1992, practicing exclusively in the areas of Medicaid, elder law and estate planning. She is the author of “Medicaid and Resource Planning” in Estate Planning for the Aging and Incapacitated Client in Massachusetts (4thEd 2012, 2015 Supplement), and co-authored “Medicaid: Strategies for Resource Planning” for the Elder Law Portfolio Series published by Aspen Law & Business.

Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly named Susan among its "2012 Top Women of Law" honorees. Susan was also named the Best Lawyers 2018 Boston Elder Law “Lawyer of the Year,” as well as being selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers® in the area of Elder Law, annually since 2008. Selected as a Top Rated Elder Law attorney by Super Lawyers® consistently since 2004, she was named in the top 100 “Super Lawyers” in Massachusetts in 2006 and 2007 and top 50 Women Lawyers in Massachusetts in 2007 and 2013. She has also received the “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

As a long-time member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Public Policy Committee of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (MassNAELA), Susan has played an instrumental role in the drafting of state legislation, regulations, and policy affecting elders in Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Chapter of NAELA recognized her leadership in advocating for elders by designating her the Outstanding Chapter Member in 1998, 1999 and 2002 and giving her the John J. Ford Advocacy Award in 2014, the President’s Award in 2017, and the Deborah H. Thomson Advocacy Award in 2018. She graduated from Clark University and received her law degree from Boston University School of Law.
